Hello mummies. May I know how much ml do you feed your baby and how frequent? 100ml every 2-3 hours? I’m mixing breast milk and formula

No time for pumping

Is it okay to latch my newborn once or twice a day if I don’t have time to pump (newborn is on mix feeding)? I am worried if I didn’t pump a day or two the supply will stop.

Have you tried just latching only? Then you wouldnt need to pump. Or if your goal ia to breastfeed exclusively, you can give baby half a feed with bottle, and then finish off by latching. This will help maintain/increase hour supply too. When you are confident with your supply, then you can just latch away!

expressing milk & engorgement

Due to me skipping a 12 hr expressing, I have some engorgement up till my armpits. So I have been trying to express out every 3-4 hour for 3 times now, and still continue to do so. I massage at least 10 mins up till my armpit area before pumping at least 30min (sometimes even up till 45min). I do feel that my milk is reducing but the lump near armpit still exist. Am I doing anything wrong? How should I reduce the lump near armpit??

Apply hot compression on it and hand express it out. And let baby latch . And continue hand expressing out. It happens to me once I skip 1 pump session. Really painful

baby full or not

how to know if baby had enough milk from breastfeeding? he falls asleep at breast but still with breast in mouth. if i never remove it, he can hold onto it till he deep sleep. if i remove he is also ok. so how do i know he is full?? i usually let him suckle 15-20min. TIA!

Well you can see the cues if your baby had enough.

Expressed milk with blood

Hi all. Need a little advice / verification here from those who had blood in their expressed milk. I have recently had expressed milk that had tinge of pink, which i supposed is caused by blood. I stored the express milk in fridge as usually and when I was about to use it for feed, i realised that the blood becomes sediments as per image enclosed. Is this normal? I kindof wonder if its really blood. And do you filter that before feed?

Yup. It's most likely blood. I would throw it away if it happens...

Hi all, can you recommend a good electric breast pump? If possible please state reason on why you recommend that. Thank you☺️ I already have a Real Bubee pump & currently still pregnant & i’m thinking of getting another pump too in case. Thinking of maybe Hegen?

I love my Hegen! Portable, easy to use and easy to assemble. I also have Pigeon GoMini, slightly more parts to assemble and not portable in that it has to be plugged in

S1 cause the functions are similar and it’s much cheaper
