Expressed BM vs DL

understand that the body will produce milk according to baby needs, but if we are giving bb expressed BM (no latching) from 2mth onward does that means the body is not able to adjust accordingly? and the milk expressed out will just remain at the same nutritional level for a 2mth old bb???

Same nutritional value lang nman... Body will adjust follow ka lang ng strict pumping sched like 2-3 hours interval tapos 15-20 minutes pumping mga ganun. Properly store breastmilk lang para di sayang..

No milk on first day of giving birth

Hi mummies! I have been pregnant a few times and All those times my i wont have milk on my first day of delivery. No matter how i latch, supply will come the next day. And first day hospitAl will feed my lo with formula (no choice). And im currently pregnant again (38 wks now), so any tips to get/stimulate breast milk even even before i give birth? So on first day i would hAve milk.

Advice please...

I have a small box fridge that I put in my room for my bottled drinks. Can I use that to store my breast milk too? Or is it advisable to use the normal fridge/freezer to store? I'm left with 2 mths before I give birth. Need advice from breastfeeding mummies since I have no knowledge on this. And also how to store, when to use and how to use my breastmilk. Appreciate any kinds of advice. TIA! ☺️

Hi babe I use the small fridge to store the days feed for bubs when I’m at work. And the rest I deep freeze for days when my supply dip.(happens during period) Storage guideline is 3 days in fridge 6 month in freezer 4hrs in room temperature Invest in a bottle warmer to warm up the chilled milk. Also don’t rush to buy a specific type of baby bottles (I did) as some baby are fussy with the teats so it’s a trial and error for the suitable bottle to feed baby.. hehe

Cold pressed juice detox

Can we be on 3 days detox juice plan when breastfeeding? Am EP Mum,supply seems to have regulate already. Currently at 4 mths post natal.

Hi mama! Your breastmilk supply regulates by the 6th month. I would consult a lactation counsellor or your doctor before going on a detox plan as nutrition is important for you at present. Hope this helps.

Reduce bm oversupply

I don't want to store too much breast milk in the freezer. What can I do to make my supply just enough or just a little bit more than what my baby need? Problem with oversupply during first pregnancy. TIA #advicepls

If ure pumping, I suggest to cut your pumping duration. If u always pump for 20mins maybe cut to 15min. So your boobs won’t be completely drained. Give yourself about a week for your body to readjust to this new reduced demand

Can we take contraceptive pills while breastfeeding? I only pump 2 times a day and LO is 13 months already. She is on mixed feeds.

Yes. Ask your OB to recommend pills that are safe for bf moms
