Will milk supply increase if do exclusive pumping?

My baby has issues latching and seems to like the bottle only. If we do exclusive pumping, will milk supply increase according to baby's requirement?

hi! you can try to include one power pump session a day until you have achieved the desired supply increase you want. meanwhile hydrate well and remember that it's a demand and supply game! the more you remove milk, the more you'll produce:) Good luck!

Hi, I am a low supply mum of a 3 weeks old baby (combined output of around 30ml after 25 mins of pumping). Have been fully pumping every 3 hourly as baby does not want to latch since birth and baby has jaundice so I supplement with formula to ensure he has enough fluid intake. Any ideas how to increase my supply? Been taking fenugreek capsules and also lactation cookies but nothing seem to help with the supply. Also power pump once a day.

I have inverted nipples and low supply too been 30ml first few weeks. I'm on pump princess and sunflower lecithin. Now it's slightly better at 50ml. Massage while pumping. Squeeze ur boobs and make sure u don't feel any lumps. Just keep massaging while u pump. You have to drink more water and milk yourself also.

Sore nipples after breastfeeding

Mummy, do u experienced sore nipples like it is not not cracked, but the nipples is like "standing always" even after breastfeeding? It is a bit painful but not as pain as cracked nipples which I had during my first n second day of breastfeeding. Thanks!

Yup absolutely normal! When that happens, it is no touching at all except to nurse baby. I end up using a nipple shield to nursed my baby. Will take some time to feel normal again. Meanwhile, keep applying the nipple cream.

💔 Heartbreak

Hello, my newborn just got discharge from NICU. from the day he was born, he has been fed formula milk as we are not able to see each other and i couldn’t hand expressed my milk so soon. overtime, after massaging and hand expressing , and pumping? i managed to have some milk supply. right after his discharge, i straight away allowed him to latch on to me everytime it’s his milk time, however i realised that everytime he breastfeeds, he poos and it is very watery, he also passes gas alot and seems to have an upset tummy to an extent then he fusses and couldnt sleep seems like he has diarrhea adter drinking my breast milk i feel so helpless because that’s my only milk supply for him and i feel like such a bad mom giving my son my milk only to have him follow up with an upset tummy after:(

Hallo Mom, hug you tight ❤️ i feel your feeling how 💔 when see our baby hospitalized cause my daughter also hospitalized for her jaundice..but good to hear that finally you’re with your baby.. you’re not bad mom..there isn’t school for being good mom but we are trying to be good mom although sometimes our expectation doesn’t same as reality..please don’t let that feeling make you down..your baby needs happy mother..❤️ you’re great mom for him cause you think about him and do lots of effort to fulfill his need.. For watery 💩, your baby is still adjust to receive your breastmilk..as long as you feed him every 2-3 hours and hydrate for him, should be okay..hope you could avoid spicy or sour cause what we eat, our baby also eat from breastmilk.. For upset tummy, you could apply a bit warm oil and carry him cause he need your cuddle to make him safe and warm..Hang on, mommy!Stay healthy, happy and positive ❤️

spectra 1. would recommend getting a second-hand pump and buy new accessories (bottle, flange etc). in case you have limited supply, you wouldn’t have splurged too much on a brand new pump.

Detox drink

Is not safe to detox when nursing. You can google the effects. Anyway sidetrack a little, I was ttc and actually bought this to help me lose weight as it’ll have a better chance to conceive. Only drank like 1/3 of the box and I got pregnant! Can’t even consume even after giving birth as it’s not recommended to drink while nursing. Guess I need to give it away

Drop in milk supply,what can I do?

Hihi, approaching 3rd mth post partum. From 100ml to 80ml drop to 50ml. Now trying exclusive pumping and drink oats. Now also trying pump every 3 hrs. Any other advise? Thank you 😊

Have you tried power pumping? It worked well for me. I was a EP mum too since my lo hated latching

Baby rejecting bottle, help!

Hello, our 6mo baby has been rejecting bottle for the past 2 weeks but is totally fine with breastfeeding. We are trying to feed him once a day via bottle so that the transition to full bottle feed in the future will be easier. Any advice from mums and dads out there? 😔

How about someone else holding the bottle other than mummy? Usually they would choose and prefer the breast if mummy is nearby
