I am breastfeeding + bottle feeding. I noticed every night my LO gets very fussy and impatient at the breast and wants bottle. It only happens at night. Sometimes i get sad he rejects my breast, any advice? :(

you can try paced bottle feeding to encourage him to go back to the breast. you can search on youtube on how to do it. lots of skin to skin too 🥰

Breast pump recommendation

Hi Mummies, Any recommendations for breast pump for FTM? I’m actually looking at Imani/Baby Express be Free but i did my research and found out that most of it recommends getting electric breast pump fot FTM like spectra S1. Please share your views. Thank you!

S1 is my fav! Imani2 i bought for back ofc use. I gt be free too, so far compare w Imani i2 I feel Imani more power & worth to get. Imani i2 now come w charging dock too!

i got secondhand spectra s1 on carousell for $50 and it works perfectly well. im only using the pump as secondhand, only had to buy brand new spare parts from shopee which aren’t very expensive ($15 per set).

Breastfeed to bottle

I have been trying to get LO to try bottle feeding which he refuses all the time as he was breastfed for a very long period of time. He reject bottles before even trying... is there any way i can get him to wean off breastmilk? Usually in the day he can eat solids and drink some other stuff and fall asleep himself but when night time comes he have to latch on to sleep and I really want to stop breastfeeding ASAP. TIA!!!

Easiest way that worked for me is when the wife had to be away for the weekend and my LO could switch to the bottle. Get the husband to help and the absence of mommy helps. Plan a little staycation for yourself

Breastmilk contamination?

My hand was in contact with a patch of concentrated dettol, there is a stingy sensation on my hand for a few minutes, would it travel into my blood stream and reach the breast milk? If so how long should I wait before i feed my child?

Breastfeeding guidance from experienced mummies pls

Mummies, am I doing it right? I pump about 3-4 times a day & I read that we can combine all the milk (for that day) in 1 bag but provided it is of the same temperature. So what I did is normally I will store the first milk into the storage bag and subsequently I poured the others into a container, keep in the fridge to get the same temperature before adding it into the storage bag with the 1st milk. After adding all for the day then I freeze the bag. Is it the correct way? I'm 1 mth post partum & my milk still hasn't come to that point where it is enough when I nursed my baby so I have to top up with formula too. And I'm trying to build a milk stash and gosh pumping is so exhausting! Minus all the washing the pump parts after every use 🥴 while nursing can hurt too. I keep having milk bleb on both breasts but I still nurse him eventhough it hurts. And also, why do my breasts smells like baby's vomit after I pumped? Is it normal? My baby will sometimes gagged when I nurse him but he will latch on after that. I wear a nursing bra & also a breast pad as I keep leaking.

How is your diet mummy? Are you drinking enough water to hydrate yourself?? Hydration is important! You can look for a lactation expert too :)

Hi did any mummies taken Dostinex (prescribed by Gynae) to stop bm? What are the side effects and will it shrink your breasts size???

Why dont just slowly stop instead of taking medication? Slowly drag your pump. This is better also

Can i still continue eating supplements (fish oil, multi vitamins) prescribed by my gynae during my pregnancy journey while breastfeeding my baby since i still got leftover?

I did ask my gynae and finished the whole course of meds which he gave previously and he said it was ok.. mayb u can check wif urs to confirm?
