Breast Milk Storage

Hello, im a ftm and my baby is fully breastfed. Im over with confinement hence wanted to go out and take a fresh air. However im unsure how to bring my breastmilk out. If i put in 1) freshly expressed milk @ room temp 2) thawed milk in a bag, how long can the milk last?

1) 4 hours 2) depends on how you store, range a few hours, max 24 hours can consider investing in ceres chill. lifesaver for me

Boost milk supply

Hi mummies I had covid a week back and my milk supply dropped by about 200ml…I still feel tired and I believe my body is still recovering from covid. Will the milk supply return back to normal once the body has recovered? And also, are there things that I can do/eat now to recover fast…

Your milk supply will drop when you are sick but it will go back when you recover. Just focus on eating well, getting enough rest and don’t skip pumps. 😊 GWS!

Milk supply worries

Hi mummies. Im a ftm and i neeeedddd tips/advice. My bb is 18 days old today. Right when she’s born, she’s on both bm & fm as I have low supply. Doctors also encouraged me to give fm since she has jaundice. No she doesn’t latch and I only pump then feed her. Now I realised that each pump sessions, I’ll only get 60-100 ml at most. Been pumping every 3 hours. But if I dont pump for 6-7 hours, there’s more supply like 100-120 ml. How to increase my supply please :( Or will it stabilise only after 2 months? I’m so upset & guilty I need encouragement.

The best way to increase your supply is to pump more often. I pumped for 30 mins every 2 hours day and night for nearly a year. I switched to power pumps every 3 hours after that, and pumped extra on weekends. My supply was really low initially, but with time, and disciplined pumping, it got better. I’m planning on stopping pumping this month (I’ve been pumping for over 2.5 years) It’s been a hard road. But so worth it. Boost milk supply

I'm 2 months pp and I feel like my supply is decreasing. Suggestions to what I can eat or drink to boost milk?

Pump/nurse regularly, drink more water (or fluids) /soup. Try salmon, Milo, bbt.

Is it normal my 5 month old isn’t pooping for 9 days already? He’s an exclusively breast fed baby!

Baby not pooping!

Normal. Can try to give Biogaia 😊 My baby also on full bm, can go up to 14 days without pooping. She usually poops (or within the next two days) when I feed her Biogaia.
