Hi mummies! My 2 yo toddlers seems like be unconnected with me, always rejecting me, no idea why. I do have an helper but I work from home everyday so I still her main caregiver, play with her, shower for her etc. but she always ask for my helper or my mum if shes here for visiting. It’s so bad that she never even find me or look for me. Any toddler like this too? I feel sad and unwanted by my child lol

Dont be you should be happy that you have the time to yourself. When they grow older its you that they will look for in any situations. Dont worry too much okay? You are doing great.

KKH vaginal stitch for subsidised delivery

Hi mummies, any feedback on the vaginal stitch condition under subsidised route? I heard that doctor on duty who are fresh will be doing the stitch and I am worried for the aftermath. Like pain during sex, wound reopen, etc. please share your experience. Thank you.

So far its fine Must be firm if pain must tell them pain I was very firm with my words They did it properly Dont worry too much just make sure to recover well at home

Recommendations for postpartum massage for weight loss

Wah this topic come up so many times in my mum WhatsApp group lah! A few mummies mentioned PNSG, apparently they've been around since 2014 and have quite a big team of certified therapists, so my friend felt more "safe" knowing they're established and not just one-person show. Someone else in the group tried iBidan and said they do traditional postpartum uterine massage specifically for weight loss, which she felt was more targeted than just a general relaxation massage. My neighbour actually went with a place that does slimming massage with a thermal blanket wrap, she said it helped with the bloating and toning, though she was honest that you still need to watch your diet lah, cannot just rely on massage alone. Some mummies love the bigger agencies for consistency since you get a different therapist covered under the same team, but a few had feedback that the personal touch can vary depending on which therapist comes. So I'd say weigh up whether you want that traditional focused approach or a bigger agency with more structured packages, both got their merits!

Hi everyone! Wondering if any parent has sent their child to Eye Level Learning Centre? Is the centre effective in developing the child’s critical thinking? Thanks in advance for your sharing!

From what I've heard, Eye Level does put quite a bit of emphasis on understanding concepts rather than just drilling answers, which is a bit different from something like Kumon, so for critical thinking specifically, parents generally feel Eye Level edges ahead there. My neighbour sent her daughter there and mentioned the instructors were genuinely warm and took time to explain reasoning, not just tick boxes. That said, results do seem to vary by centre and by child, so it's worth visiting the branch near you to get a feel for the teachers before committing. Overall, if your P3 child needs to build stronger problem-solving foundations rather than just speed, Eye Level seems like a reasonable fit, just go in with realistic expectations that progress takes a few months to show.

Falling sick every other week

Since you're getting sick so frequently, best go check with your gynae or a TCM that's experienced with pregnant ladies, get proper advice for your specific condition!

Fever Post MMR jab 2nd dose

How long does the fever last? My son is at Day 6 already. Nurse said it will take at least 3 days but I understand some parents faced longer duration.

I totally understand the worry, because when my daughter had her MMR, the fever lingered longer than I expected too and I was checking her temperature every few hours. From what I recall, some children do run a fever for a bit longer after the MMR, but by Day 6 it really is worth bringing your son back to see the PD just to rule out anything else going on, since the nurse's timeline has already passed. My PD told me that if the fever persists beyond what was expected, it is always better to get it checked in person rather than wait it out at home. Hang in there, you are doing a great job monitoring him closely, and hopefully he bounces back very soon.
