How to deal with 2nd hand smoke

My mil keeps smoking and after i’m pregnant she starts to smoke at the balcony and keeps the door close. but sometimes she forgets and she’ll leave the door wide open and when i go out to the living room the entire cigarette smell will be so empowering. tonight i went out for dinner with my colleagues and when i came back she left the door open again, and my husband left our room door open so the entire room is filled with the smoke smell. i feel so annoyed but what can i do? husband also kept reminding her to rmb to close the door but next time after the kid is born she’ll be helping to take care and i really don’t want my kid to be exposed to all these smoke

Ask your husband to speak to his mum to see if she can smoke downstairs instead. Try to explain to her nicely instead of demanding her to do it for her grandchild. If she’s not willing, there is nothing much you can do since it’s her house (I assume?). Will you be getting your own flat anytime soon?

Abnormal blood count

Hi, I just checked my blood test result (full blood count) through nuh app and it seems concerning... I have higher white blood cells and slightly low red blood cells. The conclusive result is full blood count abnormal. Anybody have similar results? Is it of major concern?

high WBC means your body is fighting off an infection, while low RBC means there's a chance you may become anemic later on in your pregnancy as you need to share blood with your foetus. best is to follow up with your gynae on your test results....

Hi Everybody! Can you recommend me magnesium supplement? I take NOW Magnesium citrate and it causes for me diarrhea.

May I know why are you taking magnesium? One of the side effect is it will cause diarrhoea hence I stopped

Keep falling sick

Hi all, im currently half of my 2 tri & i realise that i keep falling sick this @ this second pregnancy. My first pregnancy was the perfect one that everyone wanted no vomit no sick no nothing perfectly fine. But now my 2nd pregnancy i get unwell easily & vomit & falling sick easily even aft i did the injection on prevent falling sick by the doc still d same …. Anyone also same as my situation?

yes mines the same. they say every pregnancy is different. it’s also because your body has already aged since the first pregnancy and no longer the same as pre-preg.

Hi does any mummies here kept getting vaginal infection even after eating antibiotic prescribed by doctor ? I kept having yellow discharge with odor and itchiness

Feeling sad that pregnancy is moving so fast

At my 18 week. And have already been feeling so sad that I am halfway through my pregnancy. I really enjoy being pregnant so much, even with the discomfort. The feeling of having a baby growing inside… anyone feel me 😔

omg sorry mummy but I'm also at 18 weeks and I can't wait to just give birth already, the nausea and discomfort is just too much and nowadays I can't sleep properly either cause it's never comfortable no matter which position I'm in TT

Body uncomfortable

Hi, im have something that has been bothering me alot lately…. Currently in my 2nd Trimester& Fyi This is my 2nd pregnancy… So everyday in the afternoon i will have my nap after my nap when i wakeup my upper body will ache after the nap randomly ( not all the nap） then my body will start feeling v uncomfortable and uneasy . Then i will vomit , tbh idk if is it bc my tummy got issues or my gastric got problem that causes the vomit . So after i vomited I totally no appetite at all i dont even know if im hungry or not bc i dont wanna eat anything… & I feel totally fine no vomit etc during 1st trimester, but now the problem comes out of random. & is always the nap that cause problems to me not night time sleep wakeup then feel uncomfortable is always the afternoon nap Usually people have this kind of symptoms during their first trimester mine like all @ 2nd trimester….. Now i dam traumatise to take my afternoon nap due to all this sudden problem Anyone encounter such things also?

perhaps it’s the way you sleep. best to lie on left side, right side sleeping triggers reflux. and on a propped pillow under your head, not flat lying. pregnancy hormones also causes gastric and digestion issues (normal). so yours is probably because of nap positioning.
