induced labour kkh

hi im a ftm here, just wondering if any mummies can share their experience on getting induced labour at kkh? went for my 39th week appt last week and was told that if by the next appt on my 40th week i still show no signs of labour, they would proceed on to induce me. Still have no idea on how much i have dilated or have i yet to dilate because the last appt i went they told me to they would check below on the next appt only. just wondering if they schedule me for an induced labour, what are the procedures like? will i be admitted to the normal ward first or will they straight admit me to the delivery suite and start breaking waterbag from there?

I was supposedly induced at 40 weeks 1 day but was rejected upon arriving at delivery suite due to priority cases given ahead. So I had to wait after lunch, but instead of delivery suite, I got normal bed to rest till after midnight then I go delivery suite (because it was available) However, my 39 weeks and 40 weeks check up, they did check my cervix and I am 3cm dilate. This is my second born and I am experiencing the same as first born. But both at different hospital. As far as I know they will induced then after obeservation, hours later than they will break waterbag. They will then check your cervix progress as well as contractions. Induced will be much more painful than natural contractions. Therefore if you feel extreme pain you can use other medical assistance. However, this is subject to how your body react to all the medical assistance like epidural, gas, etc. Always have other birth plan method in mine besides vaginal birth as first choice. Like assisted delivery method like forceps, vacuum assisted and last option c section. While I understand it is first time, we want it smooth and easy, it can be tiring with induced and you are not progressing. Both pregnancy I have all birth plan in my head beside vaginal birth.

Upper chest numbness when sitting

Hi, im currently 24 weeks. Has been feeling chest numbness when sitting down. Is this common?

Week 36, severe right hand coldness and numbness all the time

Help I'm suffering from right hand coldness and numbness specially when seated upright, lying down as well, sleeping is almost impossible. It is very bad to the point my fingers get cold. Anyone knows which vessel being compress? I'm quite small size but baby big and has decended into my pelvis

Blood in discharge

Hi mummies, first time pregnant, just want to find out any want panic? Found my discharged got a hind of blood. Called hospital to check, they asked me to go for a check. What should I have to prepare?

prepare like my hospital bag in case I need to admit or something. thanks anyway

feels like menses cramp around your hip and thigh but the pain is 100times more than normal menses cramp depending on your pain tolerance. if you feel something like that and question yourself if it is contraction (cause i did for my first born 😅), best to visit the hospital straight for the doctor to reconfirm. the timing between each contraction is consistent and it will become shorter as you diluted more.

Fetus having hiccups daily, IS IT NORMAL?

Can feel my fetus having hiccups daily 1-3 times a day, up to 5 mins, currently week 35.. is this normal?

Normal, I'm 38wks 4 days. Baby likes to hiccup at night between 10pm to 11pm

How can i open up my cervix? I just did a membrane sweep and really hope it will work!

Does drinking Raspberry leaf Tea really helps? What does it do ? Im 36 week day 1 pregnant and i have just started drinking it today!

Is it contractions or just sciatica?

Im week 37 + 4. Yesterday i woke up with pressure in my back and it moved to the front as the day went by and came quite irregularly, i timed it to around 45 secs for each cramp and it lasted the whole day and happens usually when I move or when the baby moves then i will cramp up. I can’t tell if it’s because of sciatic nerve pain cause of baby’s position or something more because last night it went away and today, i got no cramps at all and feel tired but that’s about it. Anyone else experience this?

Back pain closer to EDD is normal. However sciatica usually will be left side, left leg and pain will be at your butt. I had sciatica for second pregnancy from second tri till birth.

Im now at 37 weeks 2 days.

Im now at 37 weeks 2 days. I felt contractions but mild and sometimes very strong. It comes n goes on my back and cramping below my abdominal. Now sure its a braxton hicks or contraction, i have white/yellow discharge sometimes. Not sure also if i dilate yet. This is my 5 pregnancy, 1st & 2nd pregnancy was a normal birth, 3rd & 4th was a twins csection and that was 6 years back, i have totally forget how does it feels like contractions. And doctor said i cant be induce, so should i go to hosp when i have mild contraction or just wait to see whats next?
