Extremely hungry

Hi, I am week 8. Not sure why but since a few days ago, I started to get hungry very easily. Need to eat like every 2-3hrs. Is it normal?

Yes. Im at wk 9 now going 10. Always eating 😅

need help or advice

hi mummies . im a new mum .. do baby startle or jerk in the womb ? ive been feeling it for about 3 x already . :( especially when i am in deep sleep

That's baby moving. There are times where you walk or move about a lot they sleep. And when your day ends, they will start to toss turn kick and startle, etc. So it is normal.

hi what does hcg mean? is it like how big the baby is ?

Experiencing touch aversion

I’m in my first trimester and feeling really fatigue. And probably because of fatigue, I lost interest in doing a lot of things and really don’t like to be touched. Even seatbelt that touches my skin irritates me and unfortunately for now I don’t like to be touched by my husband. This upset my husband a lot and he thinks I’m avoiding him .. tried to explain to him but he doesn’t seem to accept the explanation :(

Hello all mummies. I am into 7th week and experiencing headache & nauseous everyday.

Hello to all mummies. I am into the 7th week and experiencing headaches and nauseous almost on a daily basis. In addition, I am suffering from very bad constipation. For my headaches and nauseous, OB did prescribe me paracetamol and nauseous medication. I don't feel good taking them regularly, though. Any recommendation to ease them? As for my constipation, I was given Dulphalac. However, it doesn't work. So later on, I was prescribed bisacodyl (laxative stimulant). Is it safe to consume bisacodyl? Thanks in advance :)

Is one of your nauseous medication diclectin? It helps me a great deal. If ure not on it pls request for it asap.

Recently fell in love with TWG's Vanilla Bourbon Tea - tried it cos it was supposedly safe for children as well. Wondering if it's any concern if I bought and drank more of it. Am currently about 3 months pregnant. Any idea?

morning sickness is not kidding!

Hi team April mummies, I am at week 9 of my pregnancy FTM. Feeling nauseous, exhausted and giddy are stronger than earlier weeks. Got some medicine from doctor but it doesn’t seem help. I have no appetite but when my stomach is empty I feel so sick, only want to eat sour and spicy foods such as sour and spicy fen, mala Xiang guo. How do you manage your morning sickness please share. Thank you 🙏

Oranges/ orange juice helped for me!

NUH subsidised route

Anyone here with NUH gynae subsidised route? How’s your experience so far and will you be switching to NUH private with your preferred gynae?

Me. I am w NUH subsidised route. So far my experience w them is quite good. Counter staff, nurses n doctors seem friendly. Only thing is long waiting time. But long time ago (5yrs), I will w NUH private, also long waiting time. Haha... I hv seen 2 different gynae so far, both nice. So tentatively, I am sticking to subsidised route. To save money too.

Changing Hospital

I'm currently on the subsidised KKH route... I'm not sure if I'd be able to change to thomson during the final trimester. does anyone know?

Can, but call in to pre-book your preferred gynae at thomson. Then let KKH know you want to transfer so that they can get the documents ready.

If I’m an Unsubsidised patient at kkh, can I pick a lower class ward? How Will I be charged?

Hi mummies, I’m choosing to be a unsubsidised patient for my last trimester, but I would like to choose a lower class ward after I give birth. Will my baby be tagged subsidised based on the ward I choose? And will my bill for ward & delivery based on subsidised or just the ward bill will be subsidised?

not sure if you can do that, best to check with kkh hotline or their admissions office. baby will follow ur ward class until discharge.
