My 2months LO is having wet cough (pghlemy) and runny nose. Do i bring to doctor or wait since dr won’t give any medicine?

My son caught a cold when he was abt 9wks, went poly for his checkup and asked dr shld we be worried abt his cough and stuffy nose. Dr only checked his breathing and lungs. Lungs clear, all ok, no meds cause still very young. Dr mentioned to monitor only & will go away on its own aft 2wks.

Getting fever more easily after 2nd pregnancy

My 1st child is now is 4yo and I have just delivered by 2nd child on Feb 2023. Since my CS delivery in Feb, I keep falling sick with fever of 38-38.2 once every 2-3 weeks. Fever comes with body feeling cold and giddy. Is my body weaker due to my 2nd pregnancy? Does anyone else also encounter this? I’m currently still BF in the night only.

Also, before my delivery in Feb, I rarely get fever (maybe only once or twice a year) but now, fever once every 2-3 weeks is unusually often for me. Hope anyone can give some advice 🙏🏻

My 2 months old has stuffy nose and saline drops don’t seem to work, letting her sniff in the hot steam only temporarily solves the issue cause she will wake up the next day with stuffy nose. Aircon is on but super minimal. Any suggestions mummies/daddies?

Sad to say I ditch AC because of the stuffy nose that my 2 months old daughter have. I turn on fan and swing mode. I put saline drops and suck it off. Apparently all work for me. I need the AC but though it is at minimal she will still have stuffy nose. So another tip is to turn AC, make the room cold, turn on fan then when temperature seems fine then Ill switch off AC.

2.5 month old sudden change in sleeping and feeding patterns

For the past 5-6 days, LO has suddenly been waking up crying after very short naps (less than 30 minutes) or almost right after putting her down. She still sleeps well at night though. We figured she just wants to be carried since she's been taking her usual 100ml feeds every three hours or so. For the past 24 hours though, LO suddenly drinks only 50-60ml per feed on average. This time, she either sleeps (way) past her usual feeding time, or still has those super-short naps and wake up crying. Is this typical of a growth spurt? Or is this something to worry about?

BCG vaccination

Hello mummies, i realised my lo bcg vaccination scar is on the right buttock not on the left. The hospital had made a mistake by giving the vaccine on the wrong buttock (we agreed for it to be on the left buttock). They even documented the location to be on the left buttock in the health booklet. What should i do? I am quite annoyed at the number of mistakes they are making. Upon discharge i also realised that the information entered into healthhub is wrong. In the discharge summary, the info stated caeserean birth when it is supposed to be normal delivery and the gestation date was wrong. I emailed in and called in several times before they got to it and amended it. Even after amending, the gestation date was still wrong and i had to call in again. I am quite concerned with the amount of mistakes they are making and i am not sure if i want to bring this (wrong bcg vaccination location) up to the hospital.

Email the hospital again as well as [email protected] pertaining all the wrong information and raised your concern. This include what was being agreed with the BCG Vaccination. Why was all the information keyed in was incorrect? Feedback to the relevant department and get back to you ASAP. This might be human error but definitely should not be repeated and therefore, what was not agreed verbally as well as signed should be done properly. If there's changes, they should come back to you before doing it.

Sleep Regression

Does 10 weeks old baby has sleep regression? My baby suddenly doesn’t want to sleep and only sleep in short naps. Before this she slept really well, sometimes up to 6 hours at night. But now she kept waking up every 1-2 hours

Hi! I am down with covid, isit possible to still provide baby with my pumped breastmilk?

yes, in fact your antibodies in the milk are higher! which is good for baby

Diarrhea in infant

Hi.. Need help.. My child infant having Diarrhea for more than 3days with swollen butt.. Went to kkh A&E this morning and was treated like as if its my fault that my baby sick.. The doc was abit cold towards us the whole time.. And was told that no medication for my baby and to just give probiotic and cream for the swollen rash.. I went to the emergency rather than kids clinic as I know emergency is way advance and will have a way to stop the Diarrhea.. But I am so disappointed. 😥😥😥 My baby has been pooping almost every hour or min.. 😥😥😥 I am so clueless what to do..

Hi Mummy, sorry to hear about the treatment at KKH. For a start, perhaps you want to follow the advice given by the Dr to take the probiotic and apply the cream religiously. Is your infant on formula milk? If she/he is, maybe you want to consider changing the formula as it may be one of the reason why she/he is having diarrhoea. It could also be due to virus which will go away on its own. Hope you little one is doing fine by now!

Anyone had 4th degree tear to share your recovery experience?

Unfortunately I had a 4th degree tear during my delivery just yesterday. Anyone has had this and mind to share your recovery experience?

I know how you feel. Visited doctor earlier on and said next delivery would def be a cesarean. Cannot normal delivery 🥲 but I still have hope.
