I’m given an antibiotics called Amoxicillin to be eaten orally. Anyone of you mummies also given oral medicine to take? I don’t like taking medicines unnecessary cause I understand they will give drips when being admitted to labour, why is there medicine given to?

it’s strange, which hospital are you at? i was also GBS positive and wasn’t given medicine

Hello mummies! May I ask what do you pack in hospital bag? I’m going to deliver in KKH. What do they provide for mummy/ baby? thank you! #advicepls #firstmom #kkh

They have a brief list of items on their website. https://www.kkh.com.sg/patient-care/your-hospital-stay basically I think just toiletries for mummy, discharge clothes for mummy and baby. I will bring a tumbler for warm water, slippers and cardigan. The rest of the items such as diaper, maternity pad, pyjamas should be provided.

Any c sec mummies?

Hi mummies! I might need to undergo caesarean for my 1st baby! Im okay with the process as my baby is tall and weight arnd 3kg as of now. Any advice or tips to overcome and prepared after the caesarean? Help please!! #firstmom #firsttimemom

Where to find percentile of baby weight at specific gestational weeks? Am 34 weeks, 2.6kg. Worried

You can look at this TAP apps or you can google to view different answer based on average weight in SG. I guest 2.6kg still acceptable as baby will still grow till full term/EDD.

Hi i just noticed that my heels are cracked today. It is extremely dry and hurts when I try to peel if off. How do i heal this? I have not been wearing shoes for a few months. Only wear slipper when i go out

Normal or no

Don’t peel. Apply moisturisers or lotions, can also consider doing foot mask 😊.

A1 or B1 Maternity Ward NUH

Im quite conflicted on whether I should go for A1 or B1 for the maternity ward, I’m delivering at NUH and I understand that deposit for A1 is abt $2.6k cash and $1.5k cash for B1. Would be great if mums who have given birth at NUH share on their experience🙇🏻‍♀️ Like is it worth getting the A1? #advicepls

I was given this to insert into the vagina . But im still unsure of how to. Is my finger suppose to be inside the vagina to push it in deep or no ? How long should i stay in bed after inserting ?

Review on Prof Su at NUH

Decided to go as a private patient at NUH, for this second pregnancy under Prof Su Lin Lin. Currently 33 weeks pregnant and just worried that she might not be there during delivery as she seem super busy all the time. The waiting time is pretty long for every appt and it’s touch and go most of the time. Would like to know other mums birth experiences under Prof Su☺️

my first pregnancy was with Prof Su, and now I'm having my 2nd pregnancy at 36weeks, still with her. She is professional and experienced. The review time is short because everything is normal. But if there is any concern, she'll definitely point out and give you advice. To have a good communication, you can also prepare questions and ask her, she's actually very patient to answer your questions. Regarding your concern that whether she'll be unavailable during your delivery, as far as I observed, she always put down her outpatients and attend to delivery suite. Sometimes it is the reason why we have to wait longer. But she is on leave 14-27 December 2022.

Baby weight at 35 weeks 2.2kg

Hi mummies, my girl is 2.2kg at 35 weeks 0 days. My first girl was born on 39+7 days at 3.3kg. Would my second baby also have the same weight etc or smaller? I’m worried. I have been eating and eating since the 35 weeks appt. I have my next appt on the 19th December I’m nervous.

Try drink chicken essence, eat durian, avocado and full cream milk to boost baby weight. The weight seems a bit low if that’s what the gynae concern is

Hi mummies, can pregnant eat tuna Sushi and mentaiko sauce? I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant and have been eating tuna Sushi wherever I go genki sushi.

Not really recommended to eat sushi
