Postpartum bleeding and Discharge

(Pls see the attached photo about the 3 stages of postpartum bleeding) Postpartum bleeding and discharge is called "Lochia" it will smell like menstrual blood. Some describe it as musty, metallic, sour or stale. However, it shouldn't smell fishy or foul. This could mean bacteria has gotten into your vagina and caused an infection. What can make lochia worse? 1. During or after physical activity like walking or climbing stairs. 2. While breastfeeding (chestfeeding). 3. When you stand up out of bed in the morning. How do I treat lochia at home? 1. Use only sanitary maxi pads for the first six weeks postpartum. Plan on going through several large, thick pads per day for at least a week. 2. Don’t use tampons or insert anything into your vagina until after you’ve seen your healthcare provider. This can introduce bacteria to your uterus and cause infection. 3. Wear underwear and pants you don’t mind ruining. Lochia may stain your clothes. TAKE NOTE Healing after childbirth takes several weeks. Take it easy and get as much rest as possible during this time. Your healthcare provider will give you the OK for intercourse after your postpartum check-up. Introducing bacteria and objects into your vagina before it has healed can cause infection. When it’s OK to have sex again, use contraception because you can still become pregnant even if your menstrual period hasn’t returned.

ano po kayang dahilan bakit madalas nauubo si baby ko habang dumedede (nasamid po ba o ibig sabihin napupunta ang gatas sa lungs niya)? Paano rin maiwasan ang madalas na pag-ubo ni baby habang dumedede? ano rin dapat gawin kapag may halak si baby? 2weeks old baby

mga mi, sinusunod nyo po ba yung suggested milk scoop ng formula na nasa box? sa Similac 0-6 mos po 120ml water and 2 scoops of Similac. parang ang magatas po masyado tingnan. di ko naman po tinikman kung matamis. right after po uminom ng MahalNamin nagpoop po sya, medyo basa. pero di naman po mukhang diarrhea dahil once lang sya nagpoop, nung pagdede lang po nya ng formula. ganun din po ba baby nyo? EBF po kami, magmixed feeding po kami for a week.

use mild soap, stop muna sa johnson baka hindi hiyang, try cetaphil baby or physiogel cleanser if walang budget pwede na sa aveeno po or baby dove sensitive

okay lang po bang buhatin yung newborn kahit tulog? binubuhat po kasi bigla ng mother in law ko kahit tulog yung baby.

pwede po ninyo pakiusapan na hayaan muna matulog yung baby usually kasi kung ganyan na mother in law hahawak hawakan nila apo nila para sila ang hanap hanapin
