Brown Rice Cereal

  • 1/4 cup organic rice
  • 1 cup water


  1. Grind the brown rice in a blender until it resembles powder. This may take about a minute.
  2. In a medium saucepan over high heat, bring one cup of water to a boil. Sprinkle the ground rice into the water. Turn the heat down to the lowest setting, and stir the mixture briskly with a wire whisk. Continue cooking under low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  3. Let cool. If the cereal is too thick, add a bit of warm water before serving.
  4. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week, reheating individual portions as needed.
