Nausea @ 12 weeks

Hi, just wondering if other mummies go through severe nausea and vomitting throughout their first trimester. I have been on Bonjesta from my gynae, maybe it is me but the meds just wears off faster. Went to A&E because i was constantly vomitting and the ER drs gave me metoclopramide but i am still going through these waves of nausea and vomitting 🥲 wondering if any mummies have at home remedies because all my sick leaves has been utilised during this first trimester because of the nausea and vomitting episodes.... #askmommies

I'm sorry you're going through this, it sounds really draining especially with the sick leave running out. Severe nausea and vomiting in the first trimester is common but yours sounds quite intense even with the Bonjesta and metoclopramide, so it might be worth following up with your gynae again to see if there are other options or a different dosing schedule that works better for you. Some mums find ginger tea, small frequent meals, and staying hydrated help take the edge off between medication doses, but honestly the fact that you've needed A&E means your body is signalling something needs adjusting. Your doctor might also want to check if you're at risk of hyperemesis gravidarum given how persistent this is, so definitely reach out to them rather than trying to push through at this point.
