Nausea @ 12 weeks

Hi, just wondering if other mummies go through severe nausea and vomitting throughout their first trimester. I have been on Bonjesta from my gynae, maybe it is me but the meds just wears off faster. Went to A&E because i was constantly vomitting and the ER drs gave me metoclopramide but i am still going through these waves of nausea and vomitting 🥲 wondering if any mummies have at home remedies because all my sick leaves has been utilised during this first trimester because of the nausea and vomitting episodes.... #askmommies

Oh mama, I feel you 😭 First trimester nausea can be absolutely brutal and honestly what you’re describing sounds very similar to what a lot of us go through. I was vomiting constantly too and there were days I couldn’t even keep water down. Please don’t feel weak or guilty about using your sick leave — growing a baby while feeling sick 24/7 is NO joke 🥺 A few things that helped me survive: • Eat tiny bites before your stomach gets empty — crackers, plain bread, biscuits beside the bed helped • Ice cold drinks worked better than room temp for me • Sour things like lemon water, sour plum, or green apples helped cut the nausea a little • Ginger tea / ginger sweets helped some days • Don’t force full meals — small snacks every 1-2 hours is okay • Rest whenever you can because exhaustion made my nausea worse Also, if the vomiting is severe and meds seem to wear off fast, please keep updating your gynae. Sometimes they need to adjust the dosage or try a different medication combination. If you can’t keep fluids down or feel dizzy/dehydrated again, definitely go back in
