Sss Maternity Notification

Hello, my wife is 6 months pregnant and its our first baby sa we dont have any clue first about those benefits in sss but some friends inform us to submit the maternity notification in the sss since she is now resigned from her job. Will they still honor it since its 6 months. I hope you can help me. Thanks
