Panadol is probably the safest, as long as you are not allergic to Paracetamol. The other group of NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are not advisable. If the pain is very severe, sometimes the opioid painkillers can be used but the problem with this is that the mum and child can get addicted to it.
