For my first pregnancy, I just pack me and baby home clothes, swaddle, mittens, socks, caps, toiletries, breast pad, maternity pad, documents (if any needed). I pack at 37 weeks and set aside. I let my family members know where I put my hospital bag in any case they need to grab for me.
