Hello! Any of you took FTS low risk and still go for NIPT test?

Hi! So honestly, it's quite common for mums here to do both, some start with the combined screening (FTS) and then follow up with NIPT for extra reassurance, especially if the first result comes back intermediate or high risk. Most people I know who did NIPT got low risk results and everything turned out fine, which is really reassuring. That said, I did hear of one situation where the NIPT came back low risk but there was still an unexpected diagnosis at birth, so it does remind us that no test is 100%, but those cases are quite rare. The good news is that doing both gives you a much clearer picture than either one alone. Definitely worth chatting with your gynae or the genetic counsellor about what makes sense for your own situation, especially depending on your FTS results and what your comfort level is with the testing.
