IUI: Artificial insemination, or IUI, is one of the methods of assisted reproduction (ART) in which washed sperm are injected directly into the uterine cavity. This is done near the woman’s ovulation period. The cervix naturally limits the number of sperm that enters the uterus. For this reason, in natural pregnancy attempts, only a limited number of sperms can find their way into the Fallopian tubes. In the IUI method, by directly inserting sperm into the uterus, travel to the Fallopian tubes becomes shorter and the probability of sperm contact with the egg increases, thereby increasing the chance of pregnancy. IUI is a less invasive infertility treatment method and it has many broad applications. This method is generally used as a first step in the infertility treatment process, and if unsuccessful, depending on the couple’s condition the other treatments such as IVF are suggested. IVF: In vitro fertilization (IVF) is one of the assisted reproductive techniques (ART) which a man’s sperm and the woman’s egg are combined in a laboratory dish, where fertilization occurs. When the egg is fertilized, the primary cell begins to divide and form the embryo. The resulting embryo or embryos is/are then transferred to the woman’s uterus to implant and develop naturally. for more information about fertility treatment you can visit: https://hayatmedtour.com/procedures/fertility-treatment/
Ivf Eggs harvested from you Sperm Injected onto several of the eggs harvested Fertilised eggs are then transplanted back into you Basically fertilization on a dish and then put back into u surgically IUI Eggs remain inside u Sperm taken from hubby Then injected into u Sperm is then allowed to naturally take its course to see if they fertilize naturally within u
https://americanpregnancy.org/infertility/intrauterine-insemination/ https://americanpregnancy.org/infertility/intrauterine-insemination/ Normally doc will try IUI on you first, IVF will always the last & final choice My Sis tried IUI first but failed so end with IVF, now she got 2 cute children 1boy 1gal (twins)
Iui is less invasive. Dr will insert sperm into you While for ivf, they will retrieve egg and fuse together with sorry to form embryo After it’s formed, dr will inject the embryo into you to see if it sticks Ivf has higher chance of conceiving
IVF cost can be 10x of IUI but higher chance of success, the younger you start the better. For IUI, it is not recommended if your hub sperm result is not good. I've tried both and success with IVF 😊
