It has to - meet minimum standards as stipulated by the Ministry of Health; - have good backup for obsterics in terms of doctors, staffing and facilities; - have good neonatal backup including doctors, staffing, facilities, feeding services, breastfeeding and childcare support; - have good paediatrics services; and - have ICU support such as blood transfusion in case of an emergency resulting from delivery complications.
