Transfer from private to kkh / nuh
Hello! Wanted to see if any mummies transferred from private to kkh or nuh for delivery in last trim and what’s the process like?
Eh, a few mummies in my group did this! My neighbour transferred from her private clinic to KKH in her third trimester and said the process was quite straightforward, she just called KKH to register as a new patient and brought all her existing scan reports and documents over. One thing she highlighted though: KKH will prioritise their own existing patients when delivery ward gets busy, so you're not guaranteed the same "VIP" feel as your private clinic, just be mentally prepared. Someone in my mum WhatsApp group switched to NUH private instead and booked a specific gynae there, she mentioned vaginal delivery was around 7K plus and C-section around 12K, not including ward fees, so budget accordingly. Just go in with your records, call ahead to make appointment with the new gynae, and don't wait too long lah, third trimester slots fill up fast!
