It depends on how much each of you earns. For my family, my husband earns more so he contributes more. We paid for the checkup and delivery fees via our joint account (we put the same amount every month ever since dating days). My post natal fee (confinement meals) were partially paid by hub and joint account. Now that I am a SAHM, my hub took over all the bills (insurance, utilities etc) and if I receive any payouts from gov I’ll give him most of it and the rest for myself to buy bb’s stuffs.

We paid all the pregnancy and kids related bills through joint account. And the contribution to joint account depends on the wages of our salary. Now my husband earns more, so he puts more in joint account.

I cover more since I’m earning more than my hubby

We split based on a percentage of our income

40-60 as he earned more than me

50-50
