So from what I understand, para sa voluntary contribution maternity benefits, kailangan mo ng at least 3 monthly contributions within the 12 months bago ang semester ng birth mo, so if July ang kabilang buwan mo, dapat covered ka na if you've paid 3 months before that period. A few of my mum friends who did voluntary contributions said ang key talaga is kung naka-settle mo na yung requirements by the time you give birth, hindi na need mag-hulog pa after. Best thing is mag-submit ka ng Maternity Notification Form directly sa SSS with your pregnancy proof para sigurado, especially since voluntary members need to proactively file, hindi siya automatic na makukuha like sa regular employees. Check your contribution records in the last 12 months bago mag-deliver, at if you're short, better to pay na before birth para walang hassle with claims after. Good luck, mama!
