Totally understand the urgency, a 4-month-old is still so young and you really need someone you can trust fully! My friend actually went through a government-screened infant childminding service and said the vetting process gave her a lot more peace of mind compared to just finding someone through word of mouth, so that might be worth exploring if you haven't already. The tricky part she mentioned is that availability can be quite tight, especially for part-time arrangements on specific days, so the earlier you start asking around the better. Some mums in my circle have managed to find reliable nannies on a monthly part-time basis, but honestly a few had issues with consistency, the nanny cancelling last minute or not being experienced enough with babies this young specifically. Make sure whoever you consider has clear experience with infants under 6 months, because that age really is a different ballgame from toddlers.

Hi mum, I also went through this phase before when urgently looking for help at home with a young baby, and I totally understand the stress. For 4 month old, most families here usually go for either a part-time nanny recommended through word of mouth, confinement nanny contacts (some also do ad-hoc babysitting after confinement), or agencies that provide on-call infant care helpers. If you are looking at certain days only, I would suggest being very clear on timing, baby routine, and experience with infants because at this age feeding and sleep cues can be quite sensitive. If possible, do a trial day first before committing so you can see how comfortable you feel leaving your baby with her.
