Aiyo, tongue tie at 3 months is something you really need to ask the paediatrician or ENT at the hospital directly, they'll tell you exactly what anaesthesia they use, whether it's full sedation or topical numbing, depending on how severe the tie is and your baby's condition. A few of us mums in my circle had babies with tongue tie, and honestly the procedure itself is quite quick, but the anaesthesia part differs from case to case so best to call the hospital and ask them before the appointment so you're not stressed on the day!
