Have you gone for your postpartum check one month after giving birth? I would recommend you would if you haven't done so. Postpartum bleeding is normal and should go lighter as the day passes. It's called lochia and by this time, it should be lighter. Has this just come back after it has stopped? Have you been working too hard around the house lately? If so, try to take it easy and get some rest and observe if the discharge has gone away. You should be wary though if: 1) discharge is heavy (soaks a pad within the hour) and accompanied by big blood clots (means you have late postpartum bleeding). 2) discharge is foul smelling and you have fever (means you may have infection). I would suggest, you get some rest first and see how it goes. If bleeding is really heavy, then you might want to see your OB.

U meant menstrual bleeding? It's perfectly normal if it is period. It is not necessary that if you are breastfeeding, your period will stop. Hi Christina, are you breastfeeding? Is the bleeding heavy or just spotting? Approximately 70% of women have their normal menstrual period roughly 6 to 12 weeks after giving birth. The period should only last for 3 to 6 days. That is if she's not breastfeeding. I'm guessing it could be your menses?

in the same situation.. im also breast feeding and im post cs.. now for 2months by sept 08.. i started bleeding sept 01, no bleeding sept 02 then i bled again sept 03.. but im on exclusive bf.. i think its menses.. some factors could have affected my earlier period.. dont you think?

Bleeding as in menses? It is a myth that you won't get menses during breastfeeding. Some people get it early some people get it late. I had my menses back at 6 months postpartum. Supply can drop during menses. You should drink more water and supply will be back after menses end.
