Any tips on dealing with a tantrum kid.. Do you give in or insist your stand?

I have the same problem with my gal. I will not want to give in but many times my gal will cry and throw tantrum. So it depends on how serious the issue is. Even if I were to give in finally I will make sure I talk to her about why she shouldn't be doing this and I usually won't give in so easily
