According to an article I've read from The Philippine Star, it's not true na effective ang tawas sa singaw. This can even aggravate them. How they work for people, that I'm not really sure. I used to do this when I was younger and it's super effective! But only if the singaw is fresh and not dry yet. It's super painful so I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 7 years old. It may take a couple of applications, however, before it takes effect.

Everytime I get canker sores, I'd always go to buy tawas and it works well for me. But if you prefer not to use it, I think there's a medication specially for treating canker sores.
