Ooh, this is such a cute activity! My kids actually enjoyed this way more than I expected, cutting up the plate made it feel like a craft project rather than "doing math," haha. The visual really clicks for them when they see the two 1/4 pieces fit exactly on top of the 1/2 piece, so they get fractions aren't just numbers on paper. I usually do this during school holidays when we're bored at home, and honestly a few of us mums have started doing similar plate activities, there's loads of other math games you can do with just a paper plate too if your kids enjoy it!
