Open Cervix at 16 weeks

Question

Sino po dito same case with me? Dinugo ako ng sobrang dami, was rushed to emergency and admitted for 3 days. Nag 1cm open cervix. Thank God okay naman si baby sa ultrasound. Possible cause ay UTI and major is yung pagod daw, since Im working as a teacher. Now, I was given meds pampakapit 3 times a day, then 1 suppository. I was advised din na bed rest hanggang full term na daw. Suggested din ni OB magpa cerclage. Pero pricey daw at sa mga big hospitals lang available. Questions: sino dito same case na nag underwent ng cerclage? How much? And how was the experience?Sino din dito na bed rest hanggang full term? Or meron bang naka balik din sa work agad?As of now, after 2 wks, okay na UTI ko, no more bleeding na din or spotting. Yun lang talaga concerns ko, if need ba talaga pa cerclage and di na ba talaga makaka balik sa work.Please share your thoughts. Uy, first things first, please follow up with your OB agad about whether the cerclage is still needed, especially since you're feeling better na. This is really a decision between you and your doctor based on your latest scans and situation, hindi lang based sa cost, ha. I know a few mum friends who've been through cervical concerns, and honestly, every case is so different, ang isa nag-cerclage, ang isa nag-bed rest lang, and all of them had different outcomes. The fact na okay na ang bleeding and UTI mo is really good, but your OB needs to monitor you closely pa rin kasi 16 weeks pa lang. About going back to work, I won't lie, bed rest hanggang full term is tough, pero ang safety ni baby talaga ang priority. Talk to your doctor about what "bed rest" really means para sa inyo (strict bed rest vs. modified), and then decide with your partner kung kaya ninyo financially. Some mums ask about maternity leave options din early, or working from home if possible. You're doing great by asking these questions and taking it seriously, that's half the battle na. Just make sure lahat ng desisyon mo is with your OB's guidance, okay? Rooting for you and baby.
