IUD USER NA CESAREAN

Ay oo, iba-iba talaga ang experience ng mga tao with IUD after cesarean! A few of us from our mum group actually had the strings show up or shift after delivery, sometimes it's just the string that protrudes out ng cervix, sometimes the IUD mismo ang lumabas, especially sa first year postpartum kaya kailangan talaga ng regular monthly string checks. The good news is it's not super uncommon, pero definitely worth getting checked by your OB right away if you notice anything off, kasi kung talagang expelled na siya or malpositioned, hindi na siya effective for contraception and kailangan i-replace. Best talaga to have her do an ultrasound or speculum check to see kung ano exactly ang nangyari, some cases it's just the string, iba it's partial expulsion, iba naman fully out na. Your doctor will know exactly what to do from there, whether it's repositioning, replacement, or switching to another method. Pero huwag mag-panic, it happens and very manageable lang once she checks you out!
