Since my newborn is facing some issues with latching, it is making me extremely anxious. What can do to keep myself calm and collected so I am able to help my baby latch on properly?

I guess, all mothers' concern after the baby is born firstly is they are not able to latch and when they latch the next concern is that their nipples hurt when the kid latches. So, you are in the first stage and trust it shall smoothly pass by with your baby learning to latch on his own. It happens with all babies. They are new to all this, and take time to adjust. Let the baby try on his own and in your anxiousness, do not try to make things easy for him by yourself pumping the milk out in his mouth. You can guide him by holding the breast with the thumb and index finger on the areola, and then squeeze it to the mouth of the baby. If one time he is not able to do it, second time not, third time he will do it. When he will be hungry, he will himself learn how to latch on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCWGNJDZNDk http://www.pumpstation.com/breastfeeding/help-library/deep-latch
