From what I've generally come across, babies who go through heart surgery in their early months do tend to develop a bit more slowly with motor skills like rolling and tummy time, and that is actually quite common because their bodies have been through so much. My paediatrician once mentioned that early identification and some guided physiotherapy can really make a difference in helping these babies catch up, so it may be worth asking about a developmental follow-up if your hospital hasn't arranged one yet. Every baby's journey is different, so please do check with your specialist or paed terus, they will know your baby's case best and can advise whether a little extra support is needed.
