Is Cough Syrup safe for pregnant women?

Safe po ba magtake ng Robitussin DM? 23 weeks preggy here. Based on my search sa google safe naman, pero sabi sa box ng medicine, consult doctor daw. problem is di ko macontact si OB. ? Tried gargling salt water and drinking hot lemon tea, pero ayaw pa din mawala nung irritation sa lalamunan ko :(
