Confinement meals

My girl's confinement lady made a lot of ginger chicken and black chicken soup which honestly tasted quite good and didn't feel like "confinement food" at all, so maybe ask your confinement lady or agency if they can do variations of those rather than the same dish every day. I think the key is finding someone who actually seasons properly because some confinement meals can be quite bland otherwise, so it's worth discussing your food preferences upfront before they start.
