Spectra Dual Compact
Recently just purchased the spectra dual compact, hoping to increase the efficiency to get more milk supply, but to my surprise, I found that my handsfree pump can give better yield than this spectra, I’m using the same flange size of 24 for both units. Anyone encounters this problem before? I regret that I never go for Spectra S1.

General Honestly, you're not alone in finding this, quite a few mums have noticed the Dual Compact doesn't always match the S1 in terms of yield, even at the same flange size, so don't feel like something is wrong with you. One thing worth trying is connecting the Dual Compact motor to compatible hands-free cups like Medela instead of the standard flanges, as apparently it can empty the tank faster that way and some mums actually got better output through that combo. Flange fit is also worth revisiting, even if 24mm worked for your hands-free pump, the way the Dual Compact creates suction is slightly different, so you might need to size down or up to find the sweet spot that matches what your other pump was doing. A mum I know personally switched to a smaller flange insert and said her yield went up noticeably, so it's really worth experimenting before you write it off completely. The Dual Compact does have solid motor power behind it, so it may just need a bit of tuning to work properly for your body.
