breast milk expiration

Question: Nagpumped ako ng BM for my lo, then i-tatake nya din within the day, do i need to place the BM sa refrigerator?? o kahit hindi na, room temperature lang??? Then ilang oras itatagal ng pumped BM na hindi na ilalagay sa ref?? thanks in advance.

Hi mommy! Breastmilk kept in room temperature must be consumed within 4 hours. If you refrigerate, it must be consumed within 3 days, ref with separate freezer compartment 2 weeks, 2 door ref with freezer 3-6months, deep freezer 6months to 1 year. Thawed milk in room temp must be consumed with 2 hours and those thawed inside the ref must be consumed within 24 hours. IMPORTANT NOTE TO NOT REFREEZE THAWED MILK.
