I would like to engage a post natal massage on 3rd week after my cesarean. Please recommend. Thanks.

Congrats on your new baby! For C-section mums, most experienced confinement masseurs will actually suggest waiting closer to four weeks rather than three, because recovery really does vary from person to person, some mums feel ready at three weeks, but others find the wound area is still quite tender and the masseur will skip the tummy entirely anyway. My friend went to a Malay confinement masseur after her C-section and said the lady was very skilled at working around the wound, focusing on the back, arms, and legs first to help with the overall swelling and body ache before touching the abdomen. That said, I will be honest, a few mums I know felt the abdominal binding was too much pressure too soon and needed to ask the masseur to ease off, so do not be shy to speak up during the session. The most important thing really is to get your own doctor's clearance before you book, because every wound heals differently and your OB can tell you if you are actually ready at three weeks.
