Philippines is POLIO-FREE 🎉

Polio or poliomyelitis is a disabling and life-threatening condition caused by poliovirus. It is also a contagious condition that can easily spread through person-to-person contact. On September 2019, there was a resurgence of polio in the country after being POLIO-FREE for two decades. Just this month, WHO and DOH officially declared that Philippines is once again POLIO-FREE. Yay! Prevention is still better that's why parents must get their kids vaccinated either thru inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV - injection) or oral poliovirus vaccine (OPV).
