Normal bang kami ang pinagdedecide ng OBgynedoctor kung kailan namin gusto ipanganak si baby?

Hello po mga mommy, I'm 36 weeks and 3 days now, my EDD is December 26 , I wanted to ask if it's normal that my OBgyne doctor said that 1 week from now i can already give birth to my baby and asks me if there is any date I preferred to deliver my baby for normal delivery daw po yun , nagulat kasi ako pwede palang ganun kung saan kami magdedecide kailan sya ilalabas kahit wala pang contractions, does anyone encountered this and successfully delivered the baby kung meron po pwede ko po ba malaman kung ano ang mga ginawa or tinurok nila to let the baby out , will my baby not get stressed and will be safe if we pursue and follow what my OB said?
