Is it ATOPIC DERMATITIS (Eczema) ?

Hello po  mga mama. First time mom here po. Ask ko lng po if sino po sainyo My Same situation with my baby? 4months old na po sya. Weve been using Aveeno since birth nya and on her 3rd month I switch to dove baby wash and hiyang nman po sakanya. Lagi din po ko malinis sa house and ky baby. Un nga lng po lagi sya kiss sa cheeks ng papa nya. As per her pedia, it might be Atopic dermatitis dw po. Pero diba po ang signs nun itchy?My baby po ksi doesnt seem to bother and is not irritable or fussy. Hndi nya rin po kinakamot so meaning hndi sya itchy. Ano po kaya tlaga ito? Pwede po bang atopic dermatitis sya pero hndi itchy?Need your insights po. Thank you so much sa magrereply.

Aww first time mom anxieties, totally get it! So honestly, it's possible to have eczema without the obvious itching, especially at 4 months, sometimes babies show it through redness or dry patches lang, hindi agad through scratching. A few of us moms noticed our babies had what the pedia called eczema pero they weren't fussy about it either, kaya confusing talaga! That said, your pedia's assessment is probably on point since they can see the actual skin condition in person, so I'd trust their call more than our online guesses, maybe ask them specifically kung anong signs they're seeing that made them suspect atopic dermatitis, at kung ano exactly ang treatment they're recommending? That way you'll feel more confident about it. Good call on keeping everything clean and switching to gentle products like Dove, btw!
