A 1cm opening after IE is actually normal, it means your cervix is starting to ready itself, pero hindi ka pa fully in active labor, kaya ang dami pa ng possibilities kung kailan talaga mangyayari. A few of us sa group namin had the same experience and we waited for days pa before actual labor kicked in, so don't be discouraged! I'd definitely bring this up with your OB sa next check-in para ma-monitor niyo together kung paano puprogress, kasi bawat mama at baby ay different, and it's good to have your doc guide you through what to expect next.
