I let my daughter go for the enrichment class (character art and drama) at her school, mainly because she gets to spend time with her friends, which she likes. We had to pay for it. Would she lose out if she didn’t go? I don’t think so, academically or talent-wise. And if she didn’t like it, I wouldn’t have forced her to keep going. But it’s helped her talk more to her friends (she was previously very quiet), so I’m glad she went.
