Hi mummy! I have some friends who transit to cow's milk after their babies are older than 1 year old. This is also quite common in the states. I think all three options (formula, cow's milk and goat's milk) are good for your child (but nothing beats breast milk I suppose). For cow's milk, you can refer to this useful article to help determine which kind would be good for your baby: http://singaporebaby.com/cows-milk-singapore-truth-exposed/#sthash.IleMwdXS.dpuf Nutrition profile wise, I think cow's and goat's milk are good sources of calcium. If I were you, I would keep an open mind for formula if baby is not taking solids well. Some of my friends mentioned that they chose formula over cow's/goat's milk as their children are picky eaters and may not be getting a good mix of nutrients. Formula offer an "easy" solution since the nutrition required for their children's development are included in the formula. Hope this helps.

When do you plan to stop breastfeeding? Both cow's and goat's milk have their own sets of pros and cons but it really depends on how old you plan to start baby on them. In theory, goat’s milk is less allergenic and more easily digestible than cow’s milk, but I don't think any of them should not be used as a substitute for infant formula. Both can cause intestinal irritation and anemia if given too early. If your baby is under one year of age, best to continue to feed baby breastmilk or even consider formula milk.

After 1 year fresh milk is ok. Any reason why you are so anti formula?
