Husband’s attitude

Not sure if I’m being over sensitive but I always feel that my husband talks more politely to his family and friends as compared to how he talks to me. Is it because we’re a couple already so there’s no need for formality? Not saying he doesn’t respect me but I would prefer if sometimes he speaks in a nicer tone. Is your spouse like that too?
