is it normal for infant to have dry scalp? how to eliminate the dry scalp? my 3 months LO has dry scalp

Yes, quite common at this age 😊 A lot of babies develop a dry, flaky scalp, and sometimes it's actually cradle cap rather than just dry skin. You can try gently massaging a little baby oil or mineral oil onto the scalp for 10-15 minutes before bath time, then use a soft baby brush or washcloth to loosen the flakes. Wash with a mild baby shampoo and avoid picking or scratching the flakes, as that can irritate the skin. If it's spreading to the face or body, looks very red, starts oozing, or seems very itchy or uncomfortable, it's a good idea to have your baby's doctor take a look, as it could be eczema or another skin condition. The good news is that for most babies, it improves on its own over time ❤️
