Congrats on the positive test! Light cramping in the first few weeks is pretty common actually, as your uterus is stretching and hormones are shifting, but since every pregnancy is different it's definitely worth checking with your gynae or PD just to be sure everything's progressing well, especially if the cramps are sharp or accompanied by heavy bleeding. I'd give them a call rather than worry unnecessarily.
Yes it’s normal to feel cramps because your uterus is expanding and making space for your growing baby. However, if the cramp is unusual and unbearable, please go to A&E immediately.
