can my newborn and wife do confinement in malaysia?

can my newborn and wife do confinement in malaysia? not sure if my newborn needs to do periodic checkup? or can everything be done once we get the passport sorted out? so i can get my wife and newborn to malaysia to do her confinement period. :/ any seniors advise will be greatly appreciated.
