Is it necessary to send my child to pre-school at 2-3yo? If not is there any disadvantages? Like hard to catch up the syllabus compare to others. Thinking to send her directly to K1.

My friend didn't send her son to sch until he was 3yo and he's doing v well in pri sch. Her mum was looking after him before that. Personally I don't think it is but I'll be sending my lo to playgroup when he turns 2yo just so that he has some interaction and also to take some load off my mum who's looking after him in the day. I'm not so concerned abt academics so it really depends on what your expectations are.
